Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a compact, cloud-managed solution aimed at delivering enterprise-grade access control and sensor connectivity for environments with a single door. This new controller integrates individual doors with Rhombus’s cloud-based access control and security platform, enabling functionalities such as remote door management and lockdown capabilities. It also supports connectivity with various smart sensors, enhancing security and convenience.
The DC10’s design is compact, making it suitable for installation in offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a multi-door controller might not be feasible. It includes features such as one wet/dry relay, one dry auxiliary relay, and four supervised or unsupervised inputs for functions like request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its IK08-rated, plenum-mountable design allows for installation in tight spaces, such as above drop ceilings near protected doors.
Supporting 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, the DC10 facilitates power and connectivity through a single cable, while also supporting a nearby camera. It is equipped with built-in connectivity for Rhombus environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, with a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters. This integration allows for a seamless and comprehensive security solution.
With both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 ensures continuous cloud access, allowing operators to manage doors remotely without the need for an on-site server. This capability expands cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations and simplifies installation and infrastructure requirements, making it a versatile solution for various settings.
