The initiative, known as the “White House Accord on Super Intelligence,” was revealed following a meeting with leading technology executives at the White House.
This voluntary agreement seeks to establish robust internal controls for monitoring and detecting potential issues within AI systems. Companies involved in the accord are expected to appoint internal teams to oversee these safeguards and collaborate with independent external auditors to evaluate the effectiveness of their safety measures. Additionally, independent board committees will be established to review the outcomes of both internal and external assessments.

The White House meeting brought together senior executives from major technology firms, including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and entrepreneur Elon Musk.
President Trump emphasized the importance of the technology industry taking responsibility for monitoring AI development while continuing to innovate rapidly. He has consistently argued that excessive restrictions could hinder sector growth.
