The company is focusing on delivering improved power output, reduced weight, and enhanced durability for both competitive racing and industrial drone applications. A key breakthrough is their high-discharge lithium cell formulation, which is engineered to decrease internal resistance and boost ion transport efficiency.

The company’s 1300mAh 6S battery pack is designed to deliver continuous discharge currents exceeding 130A, ensuring stable power during challenging flight conditions while keeping voltage drop to a minimum. Topway employs a low-resistance electrode manufacturing process to enhance conductivity and reduce heat generation. This innovation is aimed at improving flight efficiency, extending battery life, and maintaining consistent performance, particularly during the prolonged high-load operations typical in drone racing and aerial filming.

In an effort to minimize weight without compromising durability, Topway’s batteries utilize ultra-thin aluminum-laminated packaging combined with a reinforced structural design. This approach not only improves the power-to-weight ratio but also enhances impact resistance, making the batteries more robust for outdoor use. An integrated battery management system adds further value by offering active cell balancing and protection against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and other electrical faults, all while supporting fast charging to prolong battery lifespan.

Topway claims its battery packs can retain over 80% of their original capacity after more than 300 charge cycles and are engineered to operate in ambient temperatures up to 60°C. A typical 14.8V 1300mAh lithium polymer battery from Topway weighs less than 175 grams and can handle burst discharge currents exceeding 200A for short periods. The company’s products meet several international standards, including UL, CE, RoHS, IEC62133, and IEC62619, and their manufacturing processes are certified under ISO 9001:2015.
