by admin477351

Tim Cook’s transition from Apple’s chief executive to the role of executive chair comes with a significant compensation package, valued at approximately $47 million. This package comprises a $2 million base salary along with $45 million in shares. Notably, half of these shares are contingent upon meeting performance benchmarks, and the rest will vest over a period of four years.

With this leadership shift, John Ternus steps into the CEO position. Ternus, who has been a key figure at Apple and previously led the hardware engineering division, will receive a $3 million base salary. Additionally, his compensation includes a $55 million stock award, with a larger portion of this award tied to performance metrics.

As the executive chair, Cook’s focus will pivot to external affairs. His responsibilities will now encompass managing Apple’s relationships with governments, policymakers, and key international markets—a strategic role that reflects his extensive experience and Apple’s expanding global footprint.

Under Cook’s leadership as CEO, Apple’s market value saw substantial growth, soaring to about $4.7 trillion. His annual compensation in 2025 surpassed $74 million, reflecting the company’s significant achievements during his tenure.

Ternus, as the new CEO, will take charge of Apple’s product strategy and operations. His leadership is expected to steer the company’s innovative efforts and maintain its competitive edge in the tech industry.
